Colorado Pilgrimage: Trail Angels, Snakes & the Medicine Within

How far would you go to meet yourself?

For me, the answer was a 12,000-foot Colorado mountain, a 35+ pound pack, and a trail that pulled me deeper into my own soul. This wasn’t just a hike—it was a pilgrimage of breathwork, self-trust, and a whole lot of Colorado trail magic.

Meeting Myself on the Mountain

Step after step, the mountain became my teacher. The altitude asked for my breath. The weight of the pack demanded trust in my body. Somewhere between the switchbacks and the silence, I discovered what I truly came here for: to awaken the medicine within me.

This sacred pilgrimage became a living breathwork practice. With every inhale I steped closer to my truth and each exhale deeper into my soul

Trail Magic + Symbolism

  • The Snake: A gray snake with a yellow stripe slithered across my path—an omen of transformation. In many traditions, snakes symbolize rebirth and shedding the old skin. On this pilgrimage, it was a reminder to release what no longer belonged.

  • Trail Angels: When I realized my mistake with water—three liters gone from my hydration bladder, dehydrated meals waiting, Olivia’s food in need—four strangers appeared. They traded cookies and a gallon jug of water for my campsite. That moment was the universe whispering: “You are supported. Always.”

  • The Waterfall: Cold water pouring over rock became baptism. Olivia and I stood there, laughing, drinking in the gift of nature, alive in every cell.

The Sacred Pause

Exhaustion overtook me. My legs buckled, and I surrendered into a nap on the earth. It wasn’t weakness—it was medicine in surrender. A reminder that rest is a teacher, too.

That night under the stars, in a one-person tent with Olivia curled beside me, I felt the truth: I was never alone. The ground, the sky, the wind—they all held me. Instead of small, I felt infinite. Instead of isolated, I felt abundant.

Lionsgate + The Pilgrimage of Becoming

The Lionsgate Portal (8/8) poured its energy across the Colorado wilderness. The full moon mirrored it in light. Together, they carved a doorway into courage, self-trust, and the wild beauty of becoming.

This wasn’t just a mountain summit...I was wrapped in the silence of the rugged peaks and my own breath. This was a soul pilgrimage, a remembrance of my own resilience and the truth that self-worth has never lived outside of me.

This journey was a mirror.

Every challenge, every trail angel, every mile was guiding me to one truth: that the path was not just about reaching 12,000 feet but about learning to awaken the medicine within.
