Getting Lost, Finding Magic in Capitol Reef: Breathwork, Vanlife & Red Rock Dust
May 31, 2025
Whew. I’ve got stories this week, friends.
Let’s start with this gem: I followed the wrong pin on my map and drove three and a half hours in the wrong damn direction. ๐๐คฆ๐ผโ๏ธ
Blame it on too many tabs open in my brain—or maybe the desert spirits calling me into something I didn’t even know I needed. Either way, Alani (my van ๐) took the scenic route.
And honestly? I’m not mad about it. Because what came next? Pure magic.
๐ฒ Tahoe’s Final Whisper: A Gifted Week of Peace
Before Utah coated every surface of my life (and Olivia ๐พ), I was gifted one final week in Lake Tahoe.
Literally gifted. ๐
The cabin owner offered me extra days at a sweet little country cottage tucked in the woods—just me, Olivia, and the tall pine trees.
There was just enough Wi-Fi to get my breathwork biz handled, cacao in hand, and mornings filled with fog lifting off the trees like smoke from an ancient fire. ๐ซ๏ธ
No deadlines. No chaos. Just a nervous system exhale I didn’t know I needed.
Slow mornings. Quiet reflection. Pine-scented stillness. ๐ฒ๐
๐๏ธ Arrival in Capitol Reef, Utah
From alpine bliss to red rock intensity.
Olivia and I rolled into Capitol Reef last week—dust on our boots and hearts cracked wide open.
This isn’t just a stop on the map. It’s a sacred convergence.
๐ I’ve been facilitating breathwork sessions beneath the massive sandstone cliffs, holding space for transformation beneath the wide-open desert sky for the RV and Van life community.
๐ชถ Each session begins with honoring the land and calling in the directions—inviting in the ancestors, including the Fremont people who once thrived here.
We breathe for the ones who came before us.
We breathe for the ones we’re becoming.
And we let the desert strip away everything we no longer need. ๐ฌ๏ธ๐ฅ
These sessions? Deep.
Releasing.
Real.
Truth echoes here like canyon winds.
๐พ The Desert Dusty Dog Chronicles
Let’s talk about Olivia. My co-pilot, best girl, and official dirt collector. ๐ถ๐ต
Her luscious chocolate coat?
Now a sandy blend of red rock shimmer and trail grit. ๐งก
She’s been living her best feral life—rolling through sagebrush, shaking off enough red dirt to redecorate the entire van, and leaving tumbleweed confetti on my pillows.
At this point, brushing her out feels like chiseling layers off a sandstone sculpture. ๐
She’s in desperate need of a bath… but it’s impossible not to scoop up her hot mess of dirt-fur and snuggle her like the spoiled road queen she is. ๐ฅนโค๏ธ

๐ฅ Cozy hoodies that feel like a vanlife hug (and camouflage dog hair like a champ)
๐ Soft tees made for sunrises, canyon hikes, and cacao by the fire

Olivia says if you don’t grab a hoodie… she’s taking over the van.
(As if she hasn’t already. ๐)
โWhere Are We Off to Next? A Little Road Trip Quiz…
We’ve soaked in alpine lakes, hiked red rock canyons, and snuggled through frosty mornings…
Now it’s time to guess: Where are we headed next?
Pop Quiz! - Where do you think Olivia and I are rolling?
A) Oregon Coast for ocean sunsets & seafood tacos ๐
B) High desert of New Mexico for hot springs & stargazing ๐ฅ
C) A quiet 3-week house sit in the heart of Denver ๐ถ
D) Back to Tahoe because we just can’t quit her ๐

โจ Want to Breathe Together in Person?
Curious where I’ll be parking Alani ๐ next and facilitating my next in-person breathwork experience?
From desert canyons to mountain meadows, I hold sacred space all across the U.S. for deep, transformational breathwork journeys. ๐ฌ๏ธโจ
Whether you’re craving a group session under the stars or an intimate circle in nature…

๐ง Fun Fact Before You Go:
Capitol Reef is home to one of the most scenic night skies in the U.S.—and yes, it’s also black bear country! ๐ป While sightings are rare, locals know to keep their food stashed and their eyes peeled.
โจ Until next week—stay wild and maybe… brush your dog. ๐
With love,
Victoria & Olivia ๐พ
