My PNW Van life Journey: Breathwork & Plant Medicine (September Reflections)
Oct 05, 2025From Forest Trails to Sacred Ceremony
September cracked me wide open.
It was a month of sacred thresholds...through mountain forests, riverside rituals, ferry crossings, and a plant medicineππ« ceremony that shifted everything. It reminded me that devotion doesn’t need an audience. That healing can happen in silence. And that the road itself can be your altar.
Whether you’re breathwork-curious, exploring plant medicine ππ«, or simply love following a vanlife adventure—this one’s for you.
ππ» This is also for the woman in her Sacred Season of Reinvention. Maybe you're navigating menopause, identity shifts, or a quiet-but-undeniable call to reclaim your truth. You are not alone.
π² Backpacking in Oregon: Nature’s Medicine at Its Purest
My September began with a 4-day backpacking trip into the wilderness of southeastern Oregon. We hiked six miles into the backcountry—no cell signal, no timeline, just forest, friends, and firelight.
The silence wasn’t empty, it was full. Full of bird calls. Crackling fires. Rain on our tents. The kind of presence that rearranges your nervous system.
We cooked meals under a tarp during a storm, slept beside streams, and let nature become our breathwork facilitator. It was the ultimate nervous system reset and a powerful reminder that stillness is sacred.
π Full Moon Eclipse Breathwork Ceremony in Mazama, WA
Next, I made my way to Mazama, Washington, one of my favorite soul spots in the country. Towering pines. Rushing rivers. And the kind of silence that feels ancient.
I parked Alani π, beside the water, where I hosted a solo breathwork and sage-cleansing ceremony under the September full moon eclipse.
Bare feet on the earth. Burning sage in hand. Breathwork under Mama Luna.
No agenda. No clients. Just me + the river + Spirit.
It wasn’t a big flashy moment. It was a true Soul moment.
This is the kind of ceremony work I teach, rooted in presence, reverence, and the remembrance so that you can be aligned with your highest self.
πΎ Bellingham Magic: Hobbit Forests + Healing Companionship
After driving the North Cascades Highway (turquoise alpine lakes and all!), I landed in Bellingham for a dog-sit with a golden retriever whose presence felt like honey.
Olivia made a new bestie, and every day we wandered through the Hundred Acre Woods—which I lovingly renamed The Hobbit Forest.
Ferns taller than me. Decaying mossy tree portals. Birdsong that sounded like Spirit whispering through the leaves.
I swear the forest continues to teach me how to breathe again.
π¦ͺ Solo Oyster Date: Self-Love as Sacred Ceremony
One of the most healing moments of the month? A solo oyster lunch overlooking the Puget Sound.
No reason. No performance. Just me. My journal. The salt in the air.
Sometimes self-love isn’t about fixing yourself, it’s about feeding yourself something delicious and remembering that your own company is enough.
Because yes, babe...
You are the medicine you’ve been waiting for.
π Samish Island Sunrises + Port Townsend Softness
From there, I parked on Samish Island, a peaceful peninsula in the Pacific Northwest. Each morning, I opened the van door to sunrise over the Washington mountain range and let the salt air reset my nervous system.
And then, I fell a little bit in love… with a town.
Port Townsend wrapped me in its timeless streets, soul-soaked cafés, and the wide-armed embrace of Mount Baker rising over the Sound. If towns could be past lives, this one was mine.
β΄οΈ Ferry Crossings + Sacred Plant Medicine Ceremony
The month landed in something that had been calling to me all year…
I sat in a sacred plant medicine ππ« ceremony, held in deep reverence, community, and love.
There are no perfect words for what happened and honestly words are hard to use to express my journey.
Only this:
I was cracked open.
I was witnessed by Spirit.
Old narratives unraveled.
New ones began to weave in.
Plant medicine, when held safely and consciously, isn’t a magic bullet, it’s a key to unlocking the medicine already within you.
This is the work my Soul is here for:
- Sacred microππ«dosing & macro plant medicine journeys
- Breathwork woven with ceremony
For the woman who’s asking, “Is this all there is?”
For the one reclaiming her body, her voice, her joy.
For She Who Dares To Fly. πͺΆ
π¬οΈ Integration + Inner Devotion
If September were a poem, it would read like this:
To silence.
To soul-led wandering.
To healing that begins with the breath.
To Spirit that lives in the forest.
To the knowing that the Earth remembers you.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
Whether you’re walking your own version of this path, or simply witnessing from afar, you are never alone here.
